Join in the World's Biggest Halloween
Dress-Up and Raise Funds for your School or Chosen Charity.
And if no-one has time to organise a party,
don't worry - you can still earn cash for your school or charity
without doing anything!
You may be aware of The World's Biggest Coffee
Morning, where over 50,000 people took part in individual coffee
mornings on the same day and raised £7.5M for Macmillan last
year. The World's Biggest Halloween Dress-Up is a similar concept, but
the money raised goes to your own cause and comes from the Fancy Dress
costumes bought for the occasion. So in fact you can take part even if
you don't hold a centrally organised event.
All you have to do is give out the letters we provide
telling parents about the World's Biggest Halloween Dress-Up and the
web site to go to to buy their costumes. They buy the costumes
themselves, then we donate 10% of the price of each costume purchased
to your school or chosen charity.
Of course holding a fancy dress Halloween party, disco
or other event is a great way to encourage everyone to buy costumes
that will raise funds for your school or charity, and gives you the
chance to raise extra funds too with entrance fees or snacks. Or you
could hold a fancy dress non-uniform day on the last day before half
term, or on Halloween itself (October 31st) if you are not on half term
then. You could even encourage parents to suggest fancy dress days at
work to raise more funds for school, or to hold Halloween parties at
home - all in fund-raising fancy dress of course. Since Halloween is a
Friday this year it's particularly suitable for festivities, in the day
time or in the evening.
Whether you hold an event or not, we provide you with
the letter to hand out at school. But remember, you'll need to hand out
the letters as soon as possible to allow your children and their
families - and teachers too! - to choose their costumes and have them
delivered in time to wear them at Halloween..
